Ukunda

Ukunda is a town in Kwale County, located on the main A14 Likoni–Lunga Lunga highway approximately 30 kilometres south of Mombasa. It serves as the principal commercial and transport hub for the Diani Beach area, with the turn-off to Diani Beach Road located within the town. Ukunda hosts the Diani Airport (Ukunda Airstrip), which offers scheduled domestic flights. The town has a mix of residential, commercial, and small-scale retail properties. Land parcels in and around Ukunda are administered under Kwale County spatial planning and the Ministry of Lands and Physical Planning title registry. As with any Kenyan land transaction, buyers should verify the title deed, conduct a search at the Lands Registry, and confirm zoning and any encumbrances before purchase.
